WHAT WE DO
-
Helping people and animals in need of assistance, sharing information about animals and/or people in need with other non-profit organizations.
-
Raising funds and collecting donations to help other organizations with their missions. We encourage the Pay It Forward movement!
-
RAINA also helps animals in various ways. We collect food, blankets, towels, treats, bleach, paper towels, leashes, bowls, and needed supplies for local shelters and rescues. When supplies allow, we distribute food and straw to outdoor dogs in Detroit.
-
Along with sharing animals looking for their furever homes, we also hope to raise funds to assist rescues, shelters, and owners with vetting and any other necessary costs.

Help us Pay It Forward!
OUR STORY
In September of 2014, our President, Carrie Cox, ran into sickly, nursing mother dog, who was using her porch for protection from the storm. She was badly injured and engorged with milk, where Carrie and Michelle Kessler searched all over that night to walk her around and try to help her find her puppies. With no luck, they posted the dog, who was eventually named Raina Jaymes, but unfortunately no one was looking for her. Michelle graciously opened her home to foster Raina while Carrie, Michelle, and many other volunteers helped create a fundraiser to help pay for Raina's medical bills.
During this same time, Carrie began to learn about the other non-profit volunteer groups who helped the less fortunate and homeless. She started out helping these groups, creating "blessing bags" for the homeless, attending sandwich making events, donation drives, bake sales, fundraisers, and meal preparations for the homeless.
All of the above has led to the creation of RAINA (Reaching ALL In Need of Assistance).
We strive to inspire the growing movement of people helping all living beings in need of assistance, encouraging the "Pay It Forward" movement.
